To help you better understand our pricing rules and arrange your travel plans reasonably, we will clearly explain Peak Season (High Season), Shoulder Season and Low Season for our destinations, including Hong Kong, Mainland China, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar. Our tour prices fluctuate mainly according to local climate, tourist volume, hotel rates, transportation costs and major events in different periods.
1. Peak Season (High Season)
Peak Season refers to the most popular travel period with the most pleasant weather, charming scenery and rich cultural activities. During this period, hotels, vehicles, scenic spots and tour guide resources are in high demand, so our tour quotations reach the highest level all year round.
- Months: November to the following March
- Destinations & Features:
Hong Kong and Mainland China: The weather is mild and comfortable. This period covers Christmas, New Year, Spring Festival and various large-scale exhibitions and art events. Shopping, sightseeing and festival experiences are in full swing, attracting a large number of global tourists.Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar: It is the local dry and cool season with little rainfall and clear views. It is the golden time for island tours, outdoor activities and cultural sightseeing. Sea conditions are stable, which is perfect for diving, cruising and other marine projects.
- Tips: If you travel in peak season, we suggest you confirm the itinerary and complete booking at least 45 days in advance to secure rooms, vehicles and preferred tour services.
2. Shoulder Season
Shoulder Season falls between peak season and low season. The scenery and travel experience are still excellent, while the number of tourists decreases moderately. The overall travel cost is lower than peak season, making it a cost-effective choice for most travelers.
- Months: April, September and October
- Destinations & Features:
Hong Kong and Mainland China: The temperature is suitable for outdoor sightseeing. Major holidays have ended, so scenic spots and shopping areas are less crowded. Hotel and transportation prices drop slightly compared with peak season.Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar: The rainy season has not fully arrived or is gradually ending. There are occasional short showers, which will not affect daily travel. Natural landscapes are lush and vibrant, and you can enjoy high-quality travel services at a moderate price.
- Tips: Shoulder Season balances travel experience and budget, which is the preferred travel time for family tours, private customized tours and small independent traveler groups.
3. Low Season
Low Season has the fewest tourists throughout the year. Affected by climate factors, some destinations have relatively ordinary landscapes, but the travel cost is the lowest in the whole year. It is ideal for budget travelers and adventure lovers.
- Months: May to August
- Destinations & Features:
Hong Kong and Mainland China: The weather is hot and humid with occasional thunderstorms. Except for the summer vacation travel boom, the overall tourist flow is low, and hotel and air ticket prices are very competitive.Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar: It is the main rainy season. There are frequent rainstorms and typhoons in some regions. Some offshore cruise routes and outdoor adventure projects will be adjusted or suspended accordingly. However, the prices of all travel resources hit the bottom, bringing great cost advantages.
- Tips: If you choose to travel in low season, please pay close attention to the local weather forecast. Our professional local guides will adjust the itinerary flexibly to avoid bad weather and ensure your travel safety.
Special Remarks on Special Periods
Apart from the regular three seasons, some major festivals, international conferences, large expositions, sports events and regional grand ceremonies will form Special Peak Seasons. During these periods, local hotel occupancy, transportation and catering costs will rise sharply, so our tour quotations will be higher than the standard peak season.
The typical special periods include:
- National holidays of China: Spring Festival, Labor Day (May 1–3), National Day (October 1–7)
- Large-scale exhibitions and events in Hong Kong and Mainland China
- Local traditional festivals and international activities in Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar
During special peak seasons, resource tension is prominent. We will remind clients of price changes in advance and provide priority reservation services for confirmed orders.
