Taking Train with Wheelchair in China
Normal folding Wheelchair
Generally speaking, normal folding wheelchairs can be carried free of charge and are not included in the weight and volume restrictions of passengers' belongings (for example, 20 kg for adults and sum of external dimensions are no more than 130 cm). Please note that passengers with wheelchairs should actively cooperate with safety inspection when entering the railway station. And please ensure that the wheelchair does not occupy the passage or affect safety.

Generally speaking, electric wheelchair can be taken on the high-speed trains.
Disabled Travelers Take Train in China
The disabled can go to the Fast Check Lane while entering the railway station and ticket checking. And there are also accessible elevator for disabled with wheelchair. Some high-speed rails have carriage for disabled, which is equipped with toilets for disabled passengers with wheelchair. (For the accessible carriage, you can check it via 10306APP or consult the staff of the railway station.) And please note that not all the railway stations have the accessible elevators, and the best way is to ask for the assistance of the staff at the high-speed train or the staff at the railway station.

While taking plane with the electric wheelchair in China, there are somethings that you should be aware of.
The battery of your electric wheelchair
Please be aware of the Model and the Rated Capacity of the battery of your wheelchair. And passengers with electric wheelchair need to arrive at the airport 2 hours earlier to check in.
Wheelchairs with lithium-ion batteries:Passengers must remove the battery and carry it into the cabin. And the wheelchair without battery can be checked in. The rated capacity of each battery shall not exceed 300Wh. If the wheelchair is equipped with 2 batteries, the rated capacity of each battery shall not exceed 160Wh. Each passenger can carry at most one spare battery with a rated capacity of no more than 300 Wh, or two spare batteries with a rated capacity of no more than 160 Wh.

Please contact the relevant airlines at least 48 hours before your departure. The staff of the airline will confirm with you about the details of your wheelchair and battery and tell you what to do.
